Hero Works Publishing was founded in 2023 by owner Matt Lamb and the Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center. Our objective is to publish comic books out of the hometown of Steve Ditko, co-creator of Spider-Man, in Johnstown, PA .

Our first publication, The Legacy of Captain Bottle Works, was written by Leonard Schwartz. We plan to connect with a diverse group of talented authors and artists on future publications.

Join Hero Works Publishing, local comic book artists and publishers, for the first Drink and Draw at the . From 5:00-7:00 we will do guided drawings with the members of HWP on how to draw super heroes. Their artwork and feature comic book will be for sale as well. Concessions and snacks will be available for purchase.
